Born in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Orange County, California, Saar Swartzon has always had a strong connection to the West Coast. He attended high school in Anaheim before earning his B.A. from the University of Southern California (USC), where he graduated cum laude with a major in Political Science and a minor in Cinema Television. During his time at USC, Saar’s exceptional academic achievements earned him the prestigious Outstanding Senior Recognition award, further solidifying his future as a dedicated advocate.

Saar’s interest in law was sparked early on by a family friend who was an attorney, leading him to pursue a legal career. After accepting a partial scholarship to Southwestern University School of Law, Saar excelled throughout his law school years, graduating near the top of his class. He was an integral part of the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy program and served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas.

During his time at Southwestern, Saar received numerous accolades, including the American Jurisprudence Book Award and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, both recognizing the highest academic marks in two of his courses. As a competitor on the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy team, Saar earned several awards as an outstanding advocate, showcasing his talent on the national stage in trial advocacy competitions across the United States.

After graduating and passing the California Bar Examination, Saar took the bold step of moving to Chicago, Illinois, to practice law in the Windy City, where he gained invaluable experience before returning to California to continue his legal career.

Building a Foundation in Litigation
