20+ Years of Legal Experience & Elite Client Support
Saar Swartzon was born in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Orange County, California. He attended high school in Anaheim and completed his B.A. at the University of Southern California, where he graduated with honors, cum laude, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Cinema television. Saar was also awarded the prestigious Outstanding Senior Recognition award while at USC.
While growing up in Orange County, Saar decided early on to pursue practicing law after a family friend who was an attorney sparked his interest. After accepting a partial scholarship to Southwestern University School of Law, Saar graduated near the top of his class, excelling in both the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy program and as the notes and comments editor for the Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas.
While at Southwestern, Saar received the American Jurisprudence Book Award and the CALI Excellence for the Future award, both recognizing the highest marks obtainable in two of his classes. While competing on the interscholastic trial advocacy team, Saar received several awards as an outstanding advocate in competition throughout the United States.
Shortly after graduating from Southwestern Law school and taking the California bar examination, Saar decided to move to Chicago, Illinois, and practice law in the Windy City.
Back to California
After a few years of bitter cold, and despite obtaining his license to practice law in Illinois, Saar decided to move back to be near his parents and siblings in California.
Upon his return, Saar worked for a renowned bankruptcy and litigation firm as an attorney practicing real estate and trustee litigation in federal court, representing trustees in bankruptcy.
Shortly after moving back to Orange County, Saar moved to a firm that represented victims of asbestos exposure. It was during this time that Saar found his true passion for helping those who could not help themselves.
Saar truly enjoyed the opportunity to fight for injured individuals against large multinational corporations and had great success doing so. In 2004, Saar was a member of a trial team that obtained a $36 million jury verdict later named the 48th largest verdict in the United States for 2004.
Saar Swartzon is licensed to practice law in California and Illinois. Saar previously taught Trial Advocacy as an associate adjunct professor of law at Southwestern University School of Law, inspiring students to pursue their dreams of practicing law.
