Oz Tannenbaum

Family man. Experienced litigator. Hockey player. Attorney.

Passionate Advocate For Californians Who Have Suffered Through Trauma

Oz Tannenbaum is an experienced attorney who specializes in helping clients recover from, and receive compensation for, traumatic events that they have suffered through.

Oz takes pride in treating his clients as he treats his family and friends. That starts with listening and making sure that clients know Oz’s priority is helping them get back to the life they had before the accident. That includes recovering from injuries as well as securing their financial future on the road back to a normal life.

Early Life & Education

Oz has lived in Orange County for most his life. He attended Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, earning his law degree in 2005.

While in Law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program. Prior to law school, Oz earned his B.S. in Finance, Real Estate, and Law at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he graduated in 2001.

Awards & Ratings

  • SuperLawyers® (2022, 2023)
  • Rated as superb (10/10) on AVVO

Oz was admitted to the California Bar in 2005. Before joining Cohn & Swartzon in 2021, Oz was a litigator for nearly a decade at Murtaugh Meyer Nelson & Treglia LLP (now Murtaugh Treglia Stern & Deily LLP), learning and developing his skills in all phases of litigation while defending individuals and businesses in personal injury and wrongful death actions.

Experience That Produces Results

Oz speaks with every single client at various stages of litigation and has always provided one-on-one attention to each client’s case, regardless of the nature or extent of the injuries sustained. This personal approach to each client’s case is a challenging and rewarding experience for which he is particularly proud.

Additionally, Oz spent years defending the interests of insurance companies, where he gained first-hand knowledge of how they evaluate cases to minimize paying full and fair compensation to injured persons and/or their families. He puts his knowledge and experience of the opposition’s tactics to use every day in meticulous preparation and vigorous advocacy for his clients.
