25+ Years Serving & Supporting Californians

Jason D. Cohn was born and raised in Orange County. After graduating high school, he stayed in Southern California by attending the prestigious Entrepreneur Program at the University of Southern California’s (USC) Marshall School of Business.

Jason was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity at USC, where he befriended fellow fraternity brother Saar Swartzon. After graduating from USC in 1994, Jason decided to follow his father’s legal career path by attending Whittier Law School and stayed in Los Angeles to be close to his late aunt who was battling brain cancer.

As a law student, Jason appeared regularly on the Dean’s List and joined the Whittier Law Review and Moot Court Honors Board. Jason graduated cum laude from Whittier Law School in 1997 and relocated back to Orange County, where he began practicing law as a business litigator and then a personal injury defense attorney for a distinguished Newport Beach law firm.

Continuing a History of Excellence

Jason’s father, a fellow lawyer, passed away tragically in 2003. By then, Jason was tired of the stance insurance companies take against legally unrepresented individuals asserting personal injury claims. He chose to turn the loss of his father into something positive by starting his own practice in his late father’s office, switching sides to represent the injured. In 2008, Jason teamed up with long-time friend and colleague Saar Swartzon to found Cohn & Swartzon, P.C.
